Preventive and corrective maintenance for buildings, interiors, and installations.
Proper home maintenance starts with a thorough inspection. Midevo carries out complete checks of key parts of your home or business premises on request — including window frames, facades, roofs, installations, and floors. Based on our findings, you’ll receive targeted advice on what maintenance is needed in the short and long term.
By scheduling painting, carpentry, electrical, or plumbing work in time, you can prevent wear, leaks, or unsafe situations. Small issues such as wood rot, cracks, or general wear can be identified early before they turn into expensive repairs.
Regular maintenance not only avoids unnecessary costs but also helps your home or property retain — or even increase — its value. Whether it’s a private residence or a business property, professional maintenance always pays off.
Midevo specialises in a wide range of maintenance services, including painting, carpentry, plastering, electrical work, flooring, and ceilings. You can count on quality materials, precise workmanship, and clear planning. By combining multiple trades, we save both time and money.
Planning to renovate your bathroom or kitchen? Alongside tiling, we also handle installations, lighting, and finishing work as part of a complete solution. We make sure everything connects seamlessly to the existing structure and complete the work quickly and neatly. One point of contact for all your maintenance needs.
For structural changes such as an extension, dormer, or removing a load-bearing wall, specific building regulations apply. Midevo checks whether the existing structure is safe and compliant with the Dutch Building Decree. If necessary, we can assist with the permit application process. This helps you avoid legal or technical issues during or after construction.
Our specialists focus on load-bearing strength, fire safety, ventilation, and overall usability of the space. Older properties have different requirements than new builds — we ensure your project meets all current standards, whether it’s a small modification or a major renovation.
As a homeowner, you are legally required to keep your property in good condition. The local council can carry out inspections through housing supervision in accordance with the Building Decree.
The Building Decree is an official Dutch regulation that sets out the minimum technical standards for safety, health, usability, energy efficiency, and environmental performance. These requirements apply to both existing and new buildings.
If an inspection reveals overdue maintenance, the municipality may require you to carry out repairs. Timely maintenance ensures compliance with regulations — and helps prevent damage or fines.
For private homes that are more than two years old, a reduced VAT rate of 9% often applies to labour costs. This tax advantage makes painting, plastering, and maintenance work more affordable. The reduced rate does not apply to materials — only to the labour performed.
You can benefit from the 9% VAT rate on:
For insulation, the reduced rate applies only to energy-saving measures within the home — such as installing HR++ glass or roof insulation. The work must focus on improving comfort and energy efficiency.
Note: The reduced VAT rate does not apply to major renovations or new construction, nor to work on business premises. Want to know if your project qualifies? Midevo will be happy to advise you based on your situation.
Some municipalities offer additional grants or loans for energy-saving measures such as insulation, solar panels, or HR++ glass. These schemes differ per municipality.
